Amadeus

A short synopsis of the play performed at the Pasadena Playhouse in February of 2026. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an extremely talented composer in the late 18th century. Another composer, Salieri, is also featured in the play, though not as well known. Salieri was an Italian composer and felt that his gift of music came from God as he had prayed as a child to become a composer. He did achieve his goal and found residence in the musical court. His talents were not very well appreciated as he was soon upstaged by young Mozart. This is a tale of envy, although Salieri was a pious man, he became overwhelmed by the events unfolding before him. Mozart was gaining in popularity having composed some outstanding pieces of music. Go and see for yourself this outstanding performance.
